Ce thé Vert aux arômes frais et puissants provenant des théiers sauvages centenaires de la région de Hà Giang au nord du Vietnam est un thé issu d’une récolte de printemps (First Flush).

Au Vietnam, ce grand cru est appelé “Hoàng Su Phì Xanh 1 Tôm 2 Lá” qui signifie “Hoàng Su Phì avec un bourgeon et deux feuilles”.

Ce grand cru aux notes végétales traditionnellement parfumé aux fleurs de lotus possède un goût exquis. Il est à la fois frais, fin, floral et sauvage. Relevé par la fraîcheur des fleurs de lotus.

Véritable trésor fait-maison, ce thé vert sauvage au Lotus a été élaboré d’une main de maitre par l’oncle de Loan en personne. En effet, l’oncle de Loan est LE SPÉCIALISTE du parfumage des meilleurs thés du Vietnam, il perpétue ainsi la méthode vietnamienne traditionnelle initiée par son grand père il y a 2 générations.

Pour les vietnamiens, la fleur de lotus est le véritable symbole du Vietnam. En effet, de par sa beauté et son parfum divin unique, cette fleur est curieuse car elle pousse dans la boue mais son parfum n’a pourtant rien à voir avec la boue. Les vietnamiens ont d’ailleurs une phrase difficilement traduisible en français à propos de la fleur de lotus “de la boue qui ne sent pas la boue” (vous avez compris le concept).

Il faut savoir que le thé au lotus est extrêmement complexe à élaborer. En effet, la fleur de lotus ne fleurit que pendant quelques semaines au mois de juin. Il faut ensuite pas moins de 1500 fleurs de lotus pour parfumer un 1 Kg de thé. Autrefois réservé à la famille royale et aux nobles, le thé parfumé au lotus (à la méthode traditionnelle en tout cas) est considéré comme l’un des thés les plus rares et les plus onéreux du Vietnam.

Pour élaborer notre thé vert sauvage au lotus, les plus belles fleurs de lotus sont donc sélectionnées au mois de juin par l’oncle de Loan dans son étang. Elles sont cueillies très tôt le matin afin de profiter de leur fraîcheur. Il faut donc 1500 fleurs de lotus fraiches dont on récolte les étamines blanches pour parfumer 1 kg de thé vert sauvage. La méthode traditionnelle est très longue et requiert un grand savoir-faire (celui de l’oncle de Loan lui a été transmis par son grand-père).

Ce thé vert sauvage au lotus vous stimulera par sa fraicheur et son parfum divin. Ses aromes complexes et ses notes de réglisse et d’anis rappellent les plantes médicinales utilisées dans les campagnes vietnamiennes ! Une véritable pause énergisante et rafraîchissante inoubliable !

Une température supérieure pourrait « bruler » les bourgeons et les feuilles de thé ce qui libérerai trop de tannins d’un seul coup et ainsi les rendrai votre infusion amère.
